Editorial and research policy
When AI Search Lab publishes GEO, AIO and AI Search content, we separate verifiable facts, third-party research, internal observations, professional opinion and simulated scenarios—so speculation is not packaged as results.
Byline and responsibility
At this stage content is published and maintained by the AI Search Lab editorial team. That is an institutional byline; it does not imply unpublished individual experts. Personal author or reviewer bylines appear only after we have a real name, role, experience, review scope and verifiable record.
Finance, legal, medical and other high-risk content will not rely on general marketing editors for specialist conclusions. Where professional judgment is involved, pages state sources, applicability and the actual reviewers.
Sources and evidence
- Third-party research: List publisher, study name, date and original link; percentages from different studies must not be summed or treated as one leaderboard.
- Internal observations: Must state sample, queries, platforms, date, re-run method and limits; when evidence is thin we describe direction only—no precise multiples or percentages.
- Client data: Used only with authorisation and verifiability; anonymity does not excuse omitting method, baseline and timeline.
- Simulated scenarios: Labelled at the page top and inside the case as “example scenario, not real client results”—no fictional testimonials, logos or performance figures.
- Real brand case analyses: Publish sampling date, platforms, query conditions and limits; not labelled as client results unless separately authorised.
- GEO Guide list: Editorial assessment, not a paid ranking; stars reflect citability readiness. If a listed brand shares operations, ownership or commercial collaboration with AI Search Lab, the entry must disclose that and must not be framed as an independent endorsement. High-risk categories receive no product/efficacy recommendations.
AI-assisted content
We may use AI to help outline, surface questions, check formatting or draft. Before publication, editors must verify facts, sources, links, language, duplication and risk. AI-generated text is not itself a source.
Updates, corrections and withdrawals
Platform features, model behaviour, search interfaces and service details change. Teaching and research pages show first published and last updated dates; if a change affects main conclusions, we note it on the page. When material is unverifiable, outdated or misleading, we correct, soften the claim or withdraw.
Commercial disclosure
AI Search Lab provides AI Visibility Audit methods, technical experiments, content tests and case reports. Educational pages may link to related services, but commercial relationships should not change evidence standards. TrafficHolic and AI Search Lab share operations and commercial collaboration: the former focuses on SEO, GEO and social acquisition; the latter on Audit methods, experiments and technical cases. Comparisons, ratings or referrals disclose relationships in context—we do not use sitewide reciprocal links to imply independent endorsement.
How to request a correction
Via WhatsApp, send the page URL, the relevant passage and the source you believe is correct. We will verify and update when needed.
FAQ about Editorial & Research Policy | AI Search Lab
Who is currently credited as author?
Content is maintained by the AI Search Lab editorial team and Timson Kwok as stated on each page. Named individual bylines require real roles, experience, and verifiable details.
How are simulated cases labelled?
Teaching scenarios are marked as simulated and are not client testimonials. Public market breakdowns live in Case Reports with dated samples.
Do you use AI assistance when writing?
Tools may assist drafting or checks, but claims, sources, and structure still go through human editorial review before publication.
How are corrections handled?
Material errors are corrected with date context. Significant updates are reflected on the page; contact us if you spot a factual issue.
